Lately, there has been news of electric vehicles EVs gaining popularity. China, having the largest electric vehicle industry in the world exports millions and reportedly has a 53% share of the global market. EVs had been in existence since the late 19th century. America has mass-produced them as early as in the 1900s but electric cars weren't popular then due to the limitations of storage batteries and other reasons. Remember a man attending a wedding lamenting about being asked by the host to shift his car from the parking spot near the entrance since his was not an imported car and would not look good in photos. Now, I wonder if an EV would be fit the bill or if you would give the host an angpow and thank the host for inviting you to dinner...
