Butt Off!

It is news like this that makes the world go round: Eight to stalk Selangor MB in show of protest. In Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, eight members of Gerakan Reformasi Rakyat Malaysia (Reformis) will stalk the Selangor Chief Minister, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim and strip naked when they come face to face with him. These eight people are not young teens but men, with ages ranging from 33 to 50 and are from the movement’s Dare to be Nude Squad. Apparently, the men wanted to get a message across, besides humiliating or embarrassing the Chief Miniter for allegedly not keeping to his general election promises of helping the low-income earners. The state executive council’s had in July, decided to raise the rental from RM124 to RM250 a month for about 6,200 homes and the men, not happy with the decision had wanted a police permit to strip in front of the State Secretariat as a sign of protest but having been denied it, are bent on stalking the Chief Minister and showing him their butts! When there is no brain for showing off, one can always count on the the butt.

It happend once in Soviet Union. Servers told to one ministers that there are persons that demonstrate nude in the streets of Moscow. Minister was very calm: Don't worry, said he, Russia is too cold to go nude. They will wearafter a while. :)

Over here, it's hot but it's not possible too because the law frowns on such behaviours, and i think it has to do with religion too. However, going nude, i think does not solve problems. It only shows immaturity on the part of the people.

Sometimes maybe disperation to be noticed in an other way. Specially in your part of the world where this behaviour is more than strange.

This behaviour, I suppose is not tolerable here. If you remember my post, Dressed to kill, perhaps, you'll understand. But then,views here differ since there are three major races and three major cultures living here. One's man meat will be another man's poison!
