Pumpkin,
In a pot,
To be served.
During Halloween, pumpkins are carved into decorative lanterns called jack-o'-lanterns. The practice is said to have originated from an Irish myth about Stingy Jack, a man who is a drunkard, manipulator and a deceiver. In Ireland however, the lanterns are carved out from vegetables, particularly turnips. This is understandable because Stingy Jack who is condemned to enter neither Heaven or Hell, roamed the earth with only an ember inside a hollowed turnip. It's understandable too that pumpkin has been used in America since pumpkin is native to North America particularly northeastern Mexico and the southern United States.
