New 'A Famosa'

Malacca is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It had been one since 7 July 2008. If in Malacca, it probably would be a norm to make a date with the historic central area of the city  where one would get to visit St Paul's Hill and the ruins of the Portuguese fortress, A Famosa , the Dutch Square and of course, the old Chinatown where we had our stroll and our food hunt. The modern city is said to have grown in all directions from this historic core and today, it would be a pity if one did not make a date too with the new A Famosa, this being a resort for holiday makers at Alor Gajah. Important names are often borrowed!
