A Traveller's Tale: Malaccan Chicken Rice

The Portuguese constructed Fort A Famosa in 1511, the Dutch, St. John Fort and Christ Church many years later. If you are not visiting old forts, churches, temples or mosques in Malacca, you'd probably be looking for food in the streets of Malacca. In Malacca, one of course, must try out its chicken rice not so much for the taste but for its novelty. Chicken rice, which is of Chinese origin, can be found all over South East Asia. As its name implied, the dish  is actually rice, steamed and served with chicken. In Malacca, the steamed rice comes in balls. You really can have ballful of fun!

Have some chicken rice!
