Life long learning

One will never know everything. Take for instance, tropical fruits. The other day, a colleague brought a bagful of yellowish, orange fruits slightly bigger than marbles. What was that? Everyone was asking. We were all familiar with mangosteens, mangoes, rambutans, langsat, duku, the durian even the wild version of the rambutans, the pulasan and the likes but these yellowish, orange thing - were they edible? They were of course ,and when I put the fruit in my mouth, my colleague said, "Hey! That's not the way to eat it!" It seemed that one just has to peel the skin off the fruit like a banana. The fruit, someone commented tasted like a mangosteen, only that the flesh of the mangosteen is white but the unknown, nameless fruit is orange. The fruit I ate was actually sourish, sweet, not bad but most probably would not be popular since the hands get sticky from the sap. Talk about life long learning. We can just be familiar with a leaf in the jungle and to know all the leaves there, it would probably take more than a lifetime! Does anyone out there know the name of the fruit?
