Lizards on the wall

Lizards,
Colourful as can be,
Walking on the walls.

In tropical homes like those in Malaysia, it's common to see lizards walking on the walls especially at night when they are out looking for food. These are the common house gecko Hemidactylus frenatus, native of Southeast Asia. Sometimes, when you are snuggling in your bed, you may find a lizard  scurrying across the ceiling but it's really no big deal. The lizards are harmless. They don't bite or sting and of course, they are not as colourful as can be. They may be slightly brown or black depending on the species but mostly they are greyish white. The colourful ones in Lombok, Indonesia, are for decorating the room.
