A Calm World

Standing there,
Watching,
A calm world.

I wonder how many moms tell stories when they tuck their children in bed ala the Ingalls family in American TV series  The Little House in the Prairie which stars the late Michael Landon. Stories probably put some children to sleep because they are soothing; and when told in a warm, motherly voice, one would probably drift off quickly to Dreamland. Never mind if there is no lilting music for props. For me who don't thrive on bedtime stories, I'll just watch my breath. You'd be surprised to find that there's a calm world out there.
