In the limelight,
Everyone is watching.
To be in the limelight means a lot of attention is being paid to you. You don't have to be up there on the stage, singing or acting. You can be just doing the stuff you know best, something exciting, unusual even; but do you really want to be in the limelight, to be scrutinized by the people perhaps, losing your space and privacy even? Spare that a thought.
