A piece of meat,
Laid on a dish,
For you to feast.
Some of my Indian friends are vegetarians or turn vegetarians on certain days. Some Chinese I know are vegetarians for either health or religious purposes but I don't know of Christians or Muslims who are vegetarians. Overseas, in America I read however, each Friday during Lent, Catholics are supposed to give up meat and they turn to fish. Fish is not considered meat. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops says meat is considered something that comes only from animals that live on land, like chicken, cows, sheep or pigs.As we all know, fish live in water.
