Even in big city like Kuala Lumpur, there are school teachers who purportedly give wrong information to students. Just the other day, a friend pointed to me a letter published in a local newspaper. Are teachers in school giving students wrong information? The letter screamed. It seemed that a teacher in a school there had said that not wearing a tudung would lead to breast cancer. Tudung in Malay means cover and is actually a headdress worn in accordance to Islam's hijab. The tudung covers the hair, ears, neck but leave the face exposed. Mmm... Parents in Kuala Lumpur probably should not worry too much over that. The letter just pointed out at a sole teacher. There are probably many other non-teachers who sometimes even purposely give wrong information - salesmen, politicians, friends and relatives included.
