| Burning a candle at both ends |
Would you perhaps prefer burning the midnight oil to burning a candle at two ends? To burn the midnight oil means to stay up working late at night and to burn the candle at two ends sounds so much like working very hard morning and night. Both ways, you'd probably overwork and wear out. That reminds me about what someone had said about God being loving and fair. In loving man and being fair to him, God has given him a choice. Man can choose to believe in Him and go to Heaven and to reject him and go to Hell. Now, where has Democracy gone?
