And Man Created Woman and Man

I have often wondered about Roger Vadim's 1956 French movie,  Et Dieu… créa la femme  aka And God created woman (inset), which made Brigitte Bardot an overnight sensation. Not having seen the film before, I still wonder what has God to do with all this- the creation of a woman, that is. After all, the film is said to be just about the life of a highly sexed 18-year old orphan played by Bardot. Talking about God and man, just recently a young man reportedly went to Thailand for a sex change operation. First, the man being very sure that he was a girl at heart, had his sex changed from male to female. Then, as a result from the pressure from the public and his family, he had his sex changed back to that of a man. Would you now not be tempted to say: And Man created woman and man?
