A big rally at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City sponsored by STOP ISLAMIZATION founders, Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller to protest the building of a mosque in Ground Zero was said to be not covered by the major networks but by bloggers. Robert Spencer, an author of several books on Islam and head of the web site Jihad watch and Pamela Geller, a citizen journalist and blogger who runs the human rights web site Atlas Shrugs proclaimed Ground Zero to be a war memorial and a burial ground and had asked Imam Rauf and Daisy Khan to be sensitive, saying it was unconscionable to build a mosque there. The American president, Barrack Obama, however was all for the mosque, believiing that Muslims have the same right to practise their religion as anyone else in America. Next, Greg Gutfield (inset) from Fox News’ Red Eye is talking about opening a gay bar next to the controversial mosque slated to be built at Ground Zero. In Indonesia, a singer, Nazril Irham, better known as Peterpan Ariel who was embroiled in a sex video scandal with his girlfriends Luna Maya and Cut Tari is said to be seeking religious advice from controversial cleric Abu Bakar Basyir. The cleric reportedly had taken advantage of their time spent together in the lock-up of the Jakarta police headquarters.
