Not too long ago, in Kuala Lumpur, spooks were said to hav caused a disturbance in the Bukit Jalil Sports School hostel. About 20 athletes there went into hysteria and a lawn bowler even claimed to have been possessed. The latter had been pinned to the wall and had screamed loudly for about 20 minutes before losing consciousness. She only regained consciousness when an ustaz , i.e a religious teacher, came to her aid. There was however no mention of how she was treated but I suppose the teacher must have uttered some holy verses for that is what what religious teachers normally do. As for the hysterical athletes - it is interesting to note that a Museum of Sex somewhere in the Western world said that originally the vibrator was used as a medicinal treatment for female hysteria. A vibrator induces orgasms and this supposedly dissipate the hysteria's anxiety-related symptoms.
