Just the other day, I was at Seberang Perai's Sunway Carnival, browsing through the books with Eng Lai in a bookshop there. There was a little book about God. An anecdote in the book, I think is worth sharing: A man has boarded a taxi. Three strangers in the taxi, each professing a different religion give their reasons for embracing their respective religions and choosing their respective Gods. At the end of the day, the man thought all the reasons given were good and had thus a hard time choosing his own religion and his own God. I remember a cancer-stricken woman in Kuala Lumpur writing about her experience with the deadly disease. For believing in her God and for being obedient and faithful to Him, she said she was cured of her disease. A foreword by a cabinet minister had expounded about choosing the true God. Now, who would you think would care for a true God if everyone of them is good? At the end of the day, does anyone have to make a choice?
