A Traveller's Tale: A Stroll by the River

If temples, Indian or Chinese, are not you cup of tea; in Nibong Tebal, you can give them a skip and go for a stroll along the Kerian River. Berembang trees, scientifically known as Sonneratia caseolaris as well as nipah palms or Nypa fruiticans could be found lining the river that flows past Nibong Tebal. The river banks in town have been beautified and there is a booth somewhere where you could get to book for a cruise on a boat along the Krian River to watch fireflies. A seafood dinner is thrown into the deal but I don't know-Thuan Hee and I merely had a leisurely walk along the special man-made walkway, drinking in the wonder of nature...Nature is for you to enjoy!

Would you rather join the locals fishing or just walk and enjoy the sight?

You'd love the place I am staying now. You can walk at the lake in the morning and join some folks for Tai Chi too and walk again in the evening and climb the hills too like some people do. But then, when you have it, you'd not feel like doing it. You'd like me dream to be in Italy!

You don't have women who wakes up very early in the morning so that they can go to the park and exercise together over there?

No, I live on the hill and there are only some houses here. The persons do not think about such things here. The life is as in Middle Ages here else. :-)))

Oh, it's like the sound of music; living on the hills. It's nice and it's okay if it is the Middle Ages. Those were the good old days.
