A Human Dies

A. Kugan was buried at the 14th mile Puchong cemetery yesterday amid tension and high security. Several hundred people including family, friends, and well-wishers mourned his death. The 23-year-old died at the Taipan police station in USJ, Subang Jaya, during questioning over alleged car thefts. His family members had barged into the Serdang Hospital mortuary to take photographs of the wounds and injuries on his body which they claimed were a result of an assault.A few years ago, a retired teacher I knew died as a result of being slahed on the wrist by a robber. Rumours had it that the deceased did not die instantly. After being attacked, she had rushed into her fenced house compound to seek help from neighbours who immediately called the police. When the police came later, they were however enable to help the victim instantly. Her fierce dog was in the garden and nobody dared to go near her. When they finally did, she died in the ambulance as a result of overbleeding. The deceased, when alive, was said to be a very insensitive lady who thought only about herself. Even then, people I knew said she did not deserve such a horrible death. Car thieves are human too. And human deserve better.

I think sometimes we do not deserve anything good -and this is why we have this life.

I prefer to think that we deserve something good. Otherwise, we'll have other lives; like in the animal or ghosts realm
