When Bowls Sing!

Winfried Rode, a renowned Singing Bowl Therapist with 20 years of experience in the art of Buddhist philosophy and meditation was in Malaysia to perform an exhilarating Tibetan singing bowl concert at the exclusive invitation only Spa Night held in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Spa and Wellness Council Strategic Forum recently. Oh! Bowls can sing too and each of the Tibetan singing bowls which are made up of seven different metals, has its own unique voice. They are known to have a wonderful effect on people and are used worldwide for meditation, relaxation, health care and personal well-being, treating ailments such as depression, insomnia and muscle tension, among others! But of course, you have to know how to tap and blow air on the bowls to create harmonious sounds. The beauty of the bowls must have come from within you! Now if you care to tap this wonderful energy from within you...

And my connection is as always down... Have to try tomorrow. For me was something incredible to see that one can produse 2 different sounds from one bowl in the same time. And that you can change sound opening the mouth... So interesting!

That's Tibetan bowls! Some people are very creative and I have been to camps where children use almost anything to produce magical sound; bottles, wood etc... When the connection is all right again, maybe you get to learn how to play the bowls; the video gives a clear explanation on how to play them!

Namaste' this is awesome I have heard these played many times. I do have to say that the music almost seems to be individual to the person playing sometimes. Even if they pick up the same bowl...but I believe energy surrounds *all* and is affected/influenced by others energy too. Could someones individual energy from a human influence an inanimate object like a singing bowl, who knows, scientifically but I believe it is possible.

Thanks sky for the comment. If a man can live with a wolf and be friends, anything else is possible! There is energy in all of us; I think Chinese call this Chi.

Thank you for the link, Footiam, I think I added your link too yesterday... Don't remeber... With this studies I do not remember anything more.

Yes, it's interesting to know if there is differences between those 2 cultures of singing bowls. Or they are equal even if they exist in different worlds (surely the Tibetans had not too much connection with Japanese culture, I think). And if there are these bowls in other cultures too. When I wrote my post I could not find information about this questions.
