An All American Fashion

Believe it or not, T-shirts used to be just an undergarment! In fact, it was only in 1955 that T-shirt was tolerated worn without another shirt covering it. Dubbed in one website as the All American fashion, the T-shirt has caught on to become an American favorite at the beginning of the twentieth century. American soldiers had earlier during World War I, noticed European soldiers wearing a lightweight cotton undershirt during the hot and humid summer. These shirts, being cooler and more comfortable than their wool uniforms naturally caught on with them and were later known in America as T shirts because of their simple design. And simple though they may be and inexpensive too, the T-shirts went on to make waves. Marlon Brando, for instance shocked audiences when his T-shirt was stripped to reveal his bare chest in A Street Car named Desire and James Dean made T-shirt real cool and a contemporary symbol of rebellious youth in Rebel Without a Cause. Today, any Tom, Dick, Harry or Jane could make any statement if he or she cares to print or order! Thanks to T-shirts, you can wear your attitude wherever you go! That is the easiest thing anybody can do, isn't it?

it's good that everybody can wear what he/she wants. Casual, sport clothes. But sometimes we don't remember that they are good not in every situation.
