What's in a picture?

Oh, a teenager in Malaysia had been abducted, stripped and had his pictures taken in the nude after he refused to join a gang. Having your nude shots forcefully taken I thought, only happen to nice girls. Of course, it is not really nice to have anything forcefully taken from you but at this age with lots of magazine like Playboy or Playgirl, Penthouse or Hustler, does it really matter if you have nude shots taken even albeit forcefully?

Yes, I think it does matter. It has to do with the humiliation. Those who choose to disrobe before a camera have opted for the world to see them naked, even if they regret their actions later on. This poor young man was kidnapped and had his dignity taken from him. That was the goal of the abductors, and this incident with live with this young man for the rest of his life. Thanks for the thought provoking question. I'll keep checking back for more.

Thanks for your view. I can't help but agree. Nobody in this world like to be humiliated.

i agree with mr. grude...totally.
i will say that the ever growing pop-culture exploitation of sex primarily based on crude willing acts is becoming more and more almost a norm, which is bothersome as younger people may loose grip on morals and what is acceptable or unacceptable.
And then as well there is lack of Parents that create enriched, loving and disciplined homes for their kids...usually i believe they're caught-up in earning livings and less focus on nurturing needs....and try to be Buddies as opposed to Parents with their kids... kids have extra difficulties, i think, these days, growing into adults.

I agree with Joolian too! I think the same sad thing is happening in Asian countries. People work and forget to live! I have the notion that it's good to be buddies to your kids but Joolian, I think you make a real good point. Kids need good role models to turn into adults.Maybe, parents could still be buddies to their kids but they must be real, good, mature buddies and then a line must also be drawn to differentiate the two. Parents must make sure that the kids know where they stand.

It is a shame that the young man was disrobed and had pictures taken of him without his permission. His abductors raped him, and that is a sick crime to me. The people who choose to pose nude for magazines do so on their own free will, and that is a very different scenario.

I guess everyone shares your view, Rose. The guilty parties ought to be punished don't you think and the victim shouldn't let them win by moping.
