A Nice Gesture

Gwaneum (Avalokitesvara) Temple is a seven storey wooden Buddhist temple in Taegu, 230 kilometers southeast of Seoul. Since 1998, the temple has been honouring the birthday of Jesus Christ by having its own faithful light a christmas tree. A placard with the words Congratulations on Jesus' Birthday was placed on a temple wall and Catholic priests and Protestant pastors are invited to take part in the tree lighting. I wonder how the world will turn out if everyone irrespective of their backgrounds or religious beliefs honors each other in one nice gesture or another instead of throwing brickbats at each other. Will the world become more beautiful than it already is? Will it become more peaceful?

That's a lovely post.I believe it points towards universal brotherhood and strengthens the need to realise that all religions are means to reach 'One God'. It's rather foolish of us to fight on the man- made discriminations of cast, creed or religion.

Inspiring post with a beautiful title.

Keep up the wonderful work!
Cheers!!
