Check Mate!

There is just one of these Giant Galapagos tortoises in the world! Lonesome George is the sole surviving member of the Pinta Island giant tortoise in Galapagos Islands. The species was considered extinct until 1971 when Lonesome George was found by rangers.Charles Darwin Research Station had posted a reward of $10,000 to find a female version. Appreciate our spouse!

In Penang, Malaysia there is a temple called Kek Lok Si where it had a big pool of huge tortoises. A few years ago, it was stolen and now replaced by little tortoises.

The tortoises in KeK Lok Si are of a different species. While the tortoises are there in a temple, I don't think Buddhists encourage that kind of living condition. It's a bit congested, don't you think?

Do you realize, since man has been on this planet, that he has eradicated, by several different means, around 90% of the flora and fauna that has ever existed?
And don't give me that 'excuse' wherein it states that God gave dominion over all the beasts of this earth - that's a paraphrase. Dominion comes from the word 'domain' which, in one of it's definitions means -'a realm or range of personal knowledge; responsibility for, etc.
Responsibility - not much of that going around nowadays.

I didn't know that man has done so much damage. No, I don't agree to that, that God gave dominion etc etc. One just got to be responsible for his or her own action!

Namaste' I have heard over the years about george he is a stunning animal! This has always been a sad story to me. Each and everyone of us can do just what each and everyone of us as individual souls can do, and yes footiam, be responsible and *aware* of our own actions.
