Two Prayers

A volunteer prayed and begged for mercy when native tribesman brought home two monkeys from the Amazon rain forest. The monkeys had been laid next to the entrance of a hut and that could only mean that they were for dinner! Was he glad then when his prayers were answered. Instead of monkeys on the table, there were homemade donuts and hot chocolate! We ought to understand the language of gratitude especially for the simple things like food. Thank you, God for placing food on our table. Thank you, God for placing the monkeys near the entrance of the hut. To the tribesman, which prayer is applicable, I wonder.
