Women terracotta warriors. Statues by Norwegian artist, Marian Heyerdahl. The statues are to reflect women’s pain and difficulties in the male-dominated world but in certain part of the world, both in modern and ancient times perhaps; women have and had made their presence felt. Not that we should forget the part of the world where women are still repressed, but people like Gloria and the Women’s lib movement, women prime minister like Margaret Thatcher and the late Indira Gandhi and in ancient China, Empress Wu of the Tang Dynasty, all of them showed the world that women now and then, here and there, they are all a force to be reckoned with. Women are always there to be counted.
