A businesswoman, social worker, single mother and grassroots politician steadfastly believes helping others is a priority.For the past 17 years, Chinese New Year is therefore always a busy time for her as she tries to ensure that poor families receive ang pow and goodie bags. I guess that's about all a good human being can do. One cannot and should not expect help the whole year round. Otherwise, it becomes a chore . Besides, one should learn to stand on one's own two feet and then of course, it's better to teach a person a trade. There is a popular chinese saying that says a person who is taught to fish will have fish the whole year round. Give him fish and he'll just have fish for that day.
