A Daredevil Act

An acrobatic performer pressed a super-sized cleaver to his stomach. A volunteer started pounding on the cleaver with a metal rod. Except for a red mark, there wasn’t any sign of a cut or a bruise on the man’s stomach. The daredevil act by a Shanghai acrobatic troupe drew squeals from the audience. Were those squeals of delight or fear? Do people find delight in watching violence and if they fear violence, then why watch?
